  1. If I were a parent, I wouldn't encourage Santa tracking fantasies. Rather, I'd have the kids watch the Christmas Day launch of the James Webb Space Telescope charged with seeing deeper into the universe than any telescope ever built, even seeing back into the beginning of time. The launch was AWESOME! The solar arrays were created in origami style designed to open and protect the telescope from the heat of the Sun when it nears it. Imagine the work that went into that! The rocket blasted off at 7:20 a.m. Saturday, 12/25 from the European Space Agency's spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, on South America's northeast coast. Scientists believe that if the mission is a success it will usher in a new understanding of the Universe and our place in it. GODSPEED!
