But there's still no gun problem, right?

Honest gun owner give this guy easy access to guns.
2
@Millennialtomb No, because banning cars would cause more problems to society than it solves. Banning guns wont, so your hypothetical is pointless.
2
@wesrichards6168 You don't solve mental health issues by making it really easy for mentally ill people to get their hands on deadly weapons.
2
@wesrichards6168 Then why are some many guns found at crime scenes traced back to legal sales at FFL traders? That's haw criminals get their guns. That's the connection. It exists, even if you choose to ignore it.
2
@wesrichards6168 If I was, I probably wouldn't have noticed the very strong correlation between a country that has a love affair with gun, and a country with so many gun problems. The only reason there are so many criminals with guns in the US is ease with which they are to obtain, and that's driven by honest gun owners. If you can't see that, then what are you on?
2
It's people like you that make it easy for people like this to do this.
2
@maruzencentral Nono, it's true. Gun owners tend to want easy access to guns, which is the main barrier against reducing the general availability of firearms. What they don't seem to realise is, the easier it is for them to get a gun, the easier it is for everyone else, including someone who will do something like this.
2
@stevenfrasier5718 If you need a gun to be tough, you probably don't have any pearls.
2
@maruzencentral Not an opinion, an axiom. People who don't care about gun ownership have no reason to want ease access to firearms. Oh, the old "illegal gun" arguments... I love this one. It's usually presented by someone such as yourself, who clearly doesn't know that most illegal guns found at crime scenes in the US were originally purchased at a FFL retailer? The ATF is my source on that one, in case you were wondering. They keep a database of guns found at crime scenes, and they track them back to a legal purchase. So legal, illegal, it's irrelevant. Legal gun sales lead to illegal gun ownership.
2
@wesrichards6168 OK Child, what ever you say.
2
That's right, as many as 1 in every 1000 mass shootings in the US are stopped by a good guy with a gun.
1
@stevenfrasier5718 It's not an ad hominem if it's a fact. Didn't the good lord's saviour say to turn the other cheek?
1
@stevenfrasier5718 LOL. Pity you didn't have a gun with you, you wouldn't have had to walk away. Going by that comment, I clearly know more than you about both.
1
@steven frasier That's rubbish. The good guy with a gun almost never stops the bad guy with the gun. To be quite honest, if you need a gun to be tough, you're probably too gutless to get involved in such situations.
1
@sethperry1323 So what? If you have so many problems with people misusing guns, then why make it so easy for people to get their hands on them? Why does the fact they're in a gang even rate?
1
@sethperry1323 When? How many times in the last 100 mass shootings in the US did a good guy with a gun stop the shooting?
1
Debra Thielman It's almost like... you don't have rebuttal to my comments. Can't you think for yourself? Go on, try to say something original, I'll wait.
1
@wesrichards6168 Who's suggesting doing nothing or blaming anyone? I'm simply giving you the facts. Right's come with responsibilities. Your government also tells you what you can and cannot do, doesn't it?
1
@wesrichards6168 I don't have an endless procession of mass shootings in my back yard, so maybe you should pay more attention to the way we do things. Freedom? You should go look into this little thing called "Civil Asset Forfeiture" before you start gabbing on about freedom, sonny. My country has solved the problem, yours hasn't. What makes you think you know more than me? Ok, bye then.
1
@anotherperspective8555 Land of the "need a gun to be tough".
1
@Another Perspective I'm living in the 70's. I feel like I've lost my keys. :)
1
Why? Then they'd become targets. Hardly fair to burden that on someone who earns minimum wage. Maybe tighter gun control laws would work in the US like they already have in other countries.
1
Debra Thielman There are lots of legally armed people. How come this never happens?
1
@Millennialtomb Did I say "ban" guns? I don't believe I did.
1
@spicencens7725 Not negotiable? You do understand what the word "Amendment" means? Right?
1
@polyphonicmonkey9797 Funny how you guys don't mention race when the shooter is white.
1
@polyphonicmonkey9797 Well I don't know about that. All I know is that when I hear about a mass shooting, my first thoughts are that I hope there were no children involved, then that I hope none of those who survived were too badly injured, stuff like that. But for some reason, there are people such as yourself, who just want to know the race of the killer.
1
@polyphonicmonkey9797 Funnily enough, even though they focus almost entirely on race, these people are the most upset when someone calls them a racist.
1
@polyphonicmonkey9797 Yes, you did, supreme.
