The United States is ILLEGALLY in Syria and the Syrian SAA has every right to engage them,as does Russia and Iran and China as their troops are invited by Assad The recognized President.

It's what Thorstein Veblen wrote about in his seminal work, The Theory of the Leisure Class. Only a few rise above the petty pursuit of trinkets to try, and often fail, but at least try, to change the world, or some part of it, for the better. And those who try, fail or not, can at least know their lives had meaning beyond being mere "American consumers".

My riff on that is, " if all you have is an Army everything looks like a war". And therein lies the problem.
