I really appreciate your comment but I will add the quality of oil on the market varies greatly. AMD and I have debated the subject many times. Suffice it to say he is very cautious.

Thanks for sharing your experience with your Japan built Camry. I wish more people would see a comment posted months after the video was first posted. Last year Automotive News reported that Toyota announced they would accept sightly lower standards of fit and finish from their part suppliers to keep production going during the current supply chain crisis. If Toyota is doing it than everybody is doing it. All in all, I am amazed by how many cars they have been able to build since 2020. We all hope the flexibility in standards is temporary. My Toyota was built in California, USA 18 years ago. The fit and finish is exemplary and the reliability has been top notch throughout the years.. I expect you are familiar with the old saying - Form is temporary, class is permanent. 😁

Last year the trade paper Automotive News reported Toyota's announcement that they would temporarily accept a lower quality of fit and finish from their suppliers. There is no way the plastic around the bumper would normally be acceptable but they made compromises to keep the assembly line moving. I commend AMD for honestly highlighting the faults on his car as many fans of Toyota would not want to hear it.

His Camry is FWD

Automotive News reported that due to supply chain issues, Toyota was temporarily accepting components from suppliers that would not normally meet their exacting standards. As others have already done, I congratulate AMD for sharing the faults and the strengths of this Camry.

Sooner rather than later Toyota is going to sort out that cable corrosion issue because building Hybrids is their bread and butter. I hope the next RAV4 increases its interior dimensions to match the competition but if today's model is spacious enough for you, I would not hesitate to take advantage of its superiority in every other measure. With the recent introduction of an AWD Corolla Hybrid, it cannot be long before Camry is equipped the same way.

I drive an ordinary, made in the USA, car built by Toyota . There has not been one significant quality issue since it came from the factory in 2005. It still does not squeak or rattle. According to the Automotive News reports, today's severe supply chain issues have given Toyota the choice to slow production even more or accept lower standards of fit and finish from component suppliers. AMD could have purchased any new Toyota in their fleet or a Toyota/Lexus built in the 'good old days' . His years of experience told him a made in USA Camry was a logical option as he had owned several before. His personal honesty led him to share these issues on his channel when he easily could have pretended his car was perfect. With his large and growing Youtube following, I am sure he could have hidden the problems from us and asked Toyota USA to quietly fix all these issues for him but again, he is being honest. As a Canadian, I would like to think we build better cars than Americans but the reality of my made in USA car tells me that Toyota generally makes cars better than anybody else. Hopefully the strict standards that made Toyota # 1 return sooner rather than later. If I was buying a car today, I would not hesitate to buy a Toyota. Judged against perfection Toyota will always fail but judged against the track records of other brands, they will win. BTW the Lexus ES has been built in Kentucky for several years.

Since they stopped making the Valiant and original Dart, the words quality and Chrysler have never been found in the same sentence. Teaming up with Fiat and Peugeot has sunk them to a new level.

For years I have been using Wix filters for the cabin and engine but I was very disappointed that my last one came from PRC which was not the case before.

That is exactly the point. Ahmed did not have to share these disappointments but he chose to tell us the honest truth. That is what sets his channel apart.
