AMD, I prefer the term 'Salt Belt'. I live in the Salt Belt and this morning my 16 year old 'Toyota' got its Spring cleaning. It shines in the sun like the day I bought it because my PREVENTATIVE maintenance program includes annual RUSTPROOFING. Rust = Neglect.

@MrMikey1273 I am in Canada, the land that invented rust. Each year I set aside one whole hour to let Krown Rustproofing take of my car. The cost is equal to approximately 20 gallons of gas.

@bigrockk2980 About 20 years ago I heard Krown use the term 'body maintenance' to describe their product. At the time I thought it was just marketing. Eventually I realized they were absolutely correct. Just like the drivetrain components need their maintenance so does the body. My car body maintenance also includes an annual application of paste wax and parking in the garage.
