  3.  @garyf2871 To be fair, Toyota makes the most reliable V8 engines by a mile. Those V8s are bolted to the most reliable transmissions etc. My 1ZZ-FE resides comfortably in the engine bay of my manual 2005 Pontiac Vibe.

  7. When shopping for a used Tacoma a few years ago I test drove several 4 cylinders in automatic and manual. I would have been more than happy with one but we ended up getting a better deal on a very low mileage V6.
