  10. I have built homes on lots. The problem is the cost of the land. If you pay 175k for a lot, you can't put a shack on it.

  11. If you can't make your mortgage payment with one week's pay you're phucked! Regardless if you're single or have a partner. Don't listen to the realtor or the mortgage provider. There are unexpected expenses that come up every day that are not on paper. Do you have car payments? student loans? What if the water heater shits out? Economically, it helps if two people are paying the bills! The problem now is the interest rates, if you really want to buy now, you can suck it up and re-fiance when the rates come down. Historically, rates drop slower than they are increased.....😀 Good Luck!
