  4. The US or UK coastal areas are not volatile waters, but these are. The presence of the British is to secure free trade, Iran is impeding free trade, therefore the British have every right to uphold international maritime law.

  5. The British presence is necessary to secure the free trade in a volatile area. Without it you would have pirates and rouge nations either seizing ships or disbaring them from their coastal areas, which would cripple the Western economy. The presence is absolutely vital.
