Why are the BBC silent on Christian persecution by Islam around the world?

lol, you're an idiot. Politics are far more divisive than religion at this point. Just look at how much people hate Trump.

Politics breeds division and violence (Trump, Obama, Brexit) Nationalism breeds division and violence (Northern Ireland, Isreal) Even football breeds division and violence (hooligans in almost every team and nation) But let's only focus on religion, when it's only one religion doing the vast majority of hate and violence.

John Johnson, I agree that the West caused the problem, i never supported the wars. If Britain became a lawless shithole everyone would be persecuted by everyone else. I'm in no doubt that racist groups would attack non-whites, but non-white would also attack the English, that's just what happens when it's a free-for-all. Would i persecute Muslims? Probably not, i'd fight to help my own family and community, but i've never been a violent person. And Britian First are a fringe group with no power or influence in society, so it's pointless even bringing them up.

RIXRADvidz, The world operate via natural law, not magic. God doesn't work like that, He speaks to the human heart and brings about his plans in the world through his agents. We don't hate each other, we just think the other religions are wrong. If the goal is to reach heaven and we wish all people to get there, then false religions are a hindrence and must be opposed.

Same with politics. Actually politics is far more divisive these days than religion, because no one even takes religion seriously anymore but people take poltiics extremely seriously, even to the point of killing their political opponants.

lol, i'm in my 30s mate. England is now largely secular and liberal compared to the 90s, and most religious people are either lukewarm or just keep themselves to themselves.

inkitatus1, Being irreligious doesn't automatically make someone enlightened or educated. Belief or lack of belief in a higher power does not determine intelligence or reasoning ability. Also the idea that unenlightened and uneducated people voted for Trump is just arrogance on your part.

inkitatus1, "promote prejudice" It doesn't promote racial prejudice. It upholds a high ethical standard which may get in the way of some people, but that ethical standard is good for society.

What if those organisations are right? For example: The ethics of the Catholic church are largely based upon philosophy, they have sound arguments for why they believe what they believe. Allowing everyone to do what they feel to be right, is a recipe for disaster in the long term, primarily leading to a lack of social cohesion because no one can agree upon the standard.
