  3. Update on the shoes. They have passed a major test for me. Whenever I wear them I become unaware I'm wearing them.

  4. I was also thinking along this line. You wear shoes for three years and they're going to stretch a little and the the bottom is going to compress. I suspect if he had an unused pair of his former shoes stored away, they would feel snugger than the ones he has been wearing. Same with sole flexibility.

  5. You got me thinking. I have two pairs of running shoes. One pair is about five years old and very comfortable, and I like the color a lot. But I've worn a hole at the big toe of my left foot. The other pair is a couple of years old, same brand, a later version of my old shoe.This pair has never felt right, but they're my goin'-to-town-so-don't-look-like-a-bum shoes. Meanwhile, my Keen hiking shoes and semi-sandals are perfect. Yay wide toe boxes. So I figured I'd give these Altras a try. I just finished ordering them from Zappos. I went with the yellow version, because yay color.
