@woodsmand China never fully abandoned Maoism. Even today they claim he was 70% right, 30% wrong. At the end of the day, China is still socialist economy with some market elements.

It could be argued that Maoisim is something entirely different. After all, like it or not, it succeeded. China is now leading industrial power in the world.

Lenin was a scoundrel, but in 1918 majority of Russians supported him. This is the reason Reds won. Old Empire was weak and decadent, WW1 simply bared the truth.

@олегснюсоед That is simply not true. Russia had various political organizations even before WW1, from communists to ultra-monarchists . It also had (of course) state political apparatus. Thing is, current state of affairs was not popular even in 1905, there were demands for change. When war came everything worsened. At the end of the day, majority of Russians chose revolution instead of return to Empire and monarchy. It could be argued that Bolsheviks hijacked the revolution, but nevertheless people did support them over monarchists.

TIK is heavily wrong about jobs & slavery. If you do not have a capital, it is very hard to change job, especially radically. Car mechanic could want to be become musician, but he needs to pay rent & bills. Thus, he is forced to work on cars, even if he does not want to. Effectively, he is enslaved for the largest part of his working days, having only few hours for himself. Only people that inherit capital (Paris Hilton 😁) do have liberty of freely changing jobs and experimenting.

To be fair to Lenin, he was not the type to enjoy in luxury. Neither was Stalin.

So called democracy in Western countries is a worst kind of slavery. There are no greater slaves than those thinking they are free.

@alejandromaldonado6159 I agree that they are not extremist. But, in the end of the day, it is still socialist economy with some market elements.
2
@himpim642 CCP decides in the end who is real Maosit in their country 🤪
2
@олегснюсоед I'm talking about the support in the field . In the end of the day, Reds won because they had more soldiers than Whites, despite Whites being led by trained officers, having support of the West etc ... This simply means that Russian people in majority wanted revolution. I do agree they were tricked etc ... but this does not change the fact that majority of Russians disliked old empire.
2
@TheImperatorKnight What you fail to understand is a simple fact : there is no pure free market, in a same manner as there is no pure socialism. Thus, Lenin is not true socialist, but British were no true capitalists either.
2
@AAaa-wu3el Not necessarily . In fact, Stalin is more admired than Lenin (Lenin destroyed and Stalin built) .
2
@robrob9050 Socialism with its state owned enterprises always loses in a short run, mostly because managers are not incentivized by personal gain to streamline production. Capitalism wins in short, but loses in the long run, when greed becomes cancerous . Thus, you now have Western economy controlled by shadowy entities like Black Rock that defile and destroy everything they touch. China is an example of capitalism on the top, and socialism in the foundations. In China, private enterprises are allowed to flourish to a certain level, and then state takes control so they do not become tumors on the society.

@wtice4632 I think they believe in that.
1
@simonpetrikov3992 Well, you could call it anyway you like, fact is that similarities with original fascism in Italy are largely superficial. Also, unbridled capitalism is definitely NOT a good thing, as we can see now with the West in general.
1
"Jobless losers" as you call them only came to power when capitalism failed. In Lenin's case, already existing social inequality became much worse in WW1. In Hitler's case loss of WW1, than hyperinflation, then economic crisis, all caused by failure of capitalism. And so it will happen this time, as Western societies slowly sink into chaos.
1
@robertseavor4304 Colonies have ... slightly different opinion ... on that 😁
1
@night6724 Well, he was not. This specifically came to fore during the war, when he surrounded himself with incompetent generals.
1
@signorasforza354 It was not a mansion, and it was not particularly luxury. Middle-class apartment.

@brucetucker4847 True
1
@hachwarwickshire292 😁 What a BS. 90% of everything was never made in Britain. Britain had an advantage in production of textiles as that was virtually all industrial production at the time. Britain also had advanced weapons, so it simply took what ever it wanted from other parts of the world.
1
@signorasforza354 He did not. But anyway, he did make USSR a superpower (from partially backward state) .
1
@signorasforza354 When they visited Berlin in 1945 😝
1
@penoge It is GULAG (singular) . Гла́вное управле́ние исправи́тельно-трудовы́х лагере́й - Main directorate of correction-working camps. And they built lots of things. Not a happy place to be, yet thanks to them USSR industrialized rapidly.
1
@penoge GULAG is a system. There were of course numerous camps in it. I'm not justifying anything. In USSR it was legal to be sent to GULAG. Numerous deaths served to industrialize country. If they did not do that, God knows what would happen in case of German invasion.
1
Well, nope. Socialism is simply public ownership of means of production. Thus seemingly less efficient than capitalism. But in the end ... most thing nowadays are made in China 😁
1
@robrob9050 What is there to prove ? China is socialist country, and they are top industrial power in the world. US as a capitalist country is now in hands of unelected "elite" and if you say something wrong you get cancelled.
1
@Queretonix Everyone who must work for living is slaving away.
1
@Queretonix You are exactly the type of person that falls into traps of capitalism 😁You are getting "paid" just enough to pay your bills and a left without anything, while your life passes. How exactly are you better than slave that is fed enough just to keep working. Only difference is your illusion of freedom.
1
@signorasforza354 You do not need to get paid, theoretically in communism everything is available to anyone 😝
