  2. Well, TIK's list is completely messed up, as usual 😁 Best sources are material evidence. For example, you find T-34 that sunk in the swamp, and you will have almost irrefutable evidence what kind of tank it was . Tank itself is impartial (basically hunk of metal), so it would not have bias towards any side, ideology etc . Next best source would be classified documents, meant for own side. For example, classified report about tank losses in 5th Guards Tank Army during Prokhorovka. Deliberately lying to Stalin would be very bad for your health 😁, so it is assumed that such report would be very close to truth. Only after that you will have immediate eyewitness accounts, simply because participants in events would have natural bias towards their own side and themselves.
