Correct, and it was not he first time in their long history of atrocities, from Middle Ages until the present, all the while pretending to be righteous.

@Dashslapp You could pick any of the countries you mentioned and you will see that none of them committed more atrocities than British, but also non of them display same level of moral hypocrisy as British. One art that British perfected is walking around with huge beam in their eye and pointing out motes in others :P

Things are perfectly simple : if the British were justified kill German civilians (including children) in order to get some of them who were helping German war machine, then Germans were justified in killing Jewish civilians in order to get some of them who were communists or cultural Marxists ;) If you do not condemn British evil, then you do not have the right to accuse others, and that is final.

Arguably, what British were doing from 1942 is attempt of genocide. Had Soviets were not able to defeat bulk of German forces and thus shorten the war, it is quite likely that British (and US) would intensify their attempts to wipe out all of the Germans (similar what they did in Japan) .

@queuedjar4578 Nope. Soviets would usually put liberated POWs into filtration camps, to verify did some of them actually collaborated with enemy. But vast majority of them would be let out quickly, as they needed soldiers and workers.
