The world is warming as I write to you from my house with the air conditioner huffing away at midnight in September. It is definitely warming. It used to be 55 degrees at night in August.

@oddballsampler You have no idea.
2
Right but you wrote this 9 minutes ago which means it was 1:30pm Tuesday in Japan.
2
Why?
2
No

Chopsticks slow it down but if you are diabetic isn't it best not to eat any sugar at all? Can keto diet help? And you only discovered it at age 19? That's a long time for type 1 isn't it?
2
@joegilbody4878 So if you made zero insulin how did it take until 19 to discover it? Yeah but if you have diabetes you don't faff about. I am not even prediabetic but still eat brown rice only if I eat rice. You need complex carbs not simple. And yes I know protein over works the kidneys but so does diabetes. By the way I know a 75 year old who cured himself of type 2 by eating raw vegan and the only carbs he ate was whole oats he milled himself.
2
@joegilbody4878 Isn't t an autoimmune disease as a resistance to the consumption of too much sugars? Prion like the ones that cause encephalitis?
2
Why because you want him to kill himself? The very problem with therapists is they are "professional". We can only help others if we want to, not if we are paid to. Psychology is a crock and it ruins lives.
2
@blengi He does that so there is no echo. Other times he uses a folded mattress.
2
You are a very serious and judgmental individual. You should try Pyrrhonism sometime.
2
I am sorry you are going through your 30 year old life crisis.
2
It did a little. But the main thing was the great hype over a tsunami/earthquake warning a month ago. People hoarded rice so there is less supply.
2
I suggest the comments are cheering him up, therefor no need for a phony therapist to lead him on. I've known at least two people that committed suicide that were ok before they saw a therapist. Not a good idea.

A few weeks ago, a notification about the heightened potential for a huge earthquake in the Nankai Trough off Japan's southwestern coast ― triggered a run on rice. Rice situation will improve in 2 to 3 weeks as the new harvest will come in and there were no major weather disasters this year and the crop is in good shape.

Foreigners don't like Japanese rice. It is too sticky.
1
@blengi The shortage of wheat has led to the increased demand of rice reducing the supply. Damn Russia.
1
@jackiewilliams810 Don't complain.
1
Yikes. I'd never blow $50 on a crappy buffet.
1
@Ace1000ks19751982 That's pretty crazy. I never eat steak so. I sure would like to eat an Indian buffet again. I make food at home mostly. Hoping to wait out the high food prices storm or take much needed cooking classes. Wish they'd just reverse those damn tariffs that caused all the problems to begin with.
1
@Ace1000ks19751982 Price of fuel doubled in 2008 and hasn't seemed to stay down much. First it was the Iraq/Afghanistan wars, now it the Russia vs Ukraine war as the latest excuse. Used to be $1.34/gallon US before Bush.
1
@cIeetz Haha maybe you're just ignorant.

How?? What kind of rice? Rice has dropped a little in the US but not much.
1
Very possible since the UK grows very little tea of their own.
1
They have curry in Japan. It might work.
1
@blengi I don't believe it.
1
Haha there is no way Japan would buy rice voluntarily from the USA because it is of such atrocious quality. I'm American and don't even like it. I usually eat Thai or Indian rice. Have you read up on the fiasco where Japan was forced to buy crap American rice? Well they kept it in storage for years because no one wanted to eat it. When the tsunami happened in Indonesia they gave it away to the victims there for free.
1
@blengi No it is from soil tillage every spring, not rice.
1
@blengi No sorry it is soil tillage. Don't think rice is tilled. Watch the documentary Kiss the Ground. NASA proved it and is quietly educating farmers which consequently is resulting in less need for fertilizer.
