Let us hope you do not end up in my situation where we had a very heavy rain storm that flooded the off ramp to the inner loop and I had to jump onto the local roads where it turned out I found my self driving through two feet of water in my stock 1996 Dodge Turbo Diesel 4 x 4. Having the air intake at about chest level meant that I did not worry about sucking in water. Water never came in the cab either as the floor board is about two feet off the pavement. I guess in your case you could just wait until the water went down. Dirt roads could be another issue if there is much traffic on them. I would think the dust would be thicker closer to the ground. That is not a hazard, just an annoyance of having to clean the filter more often. It does look like you need to get new front tires and an alignment.
