  2. Try removing the engine from the bottom without a lift. Lots of fun.

  3. Yes you can turn the engine over with the starter directly hooked up to a battery. Also, with the engine harness and computer, you can run it although it would be best to have a frame for it to sit in. Did it with my MR2. Hooked up the dash too so I could check the oil pressure.
