  1. I solved the issue with the batteries dying on my motor home by hooking up a solar panel charger to them. It works like a champ and if I have not run the motor home in months it still starts right up. Mine is not permanently mounted so I have to climb on the roof to remove it. In your case you could just put it in the bed.
