Ukraine even has a better head start, they are already recognized by the United Nations as being a independent country . Even the USSR gave the Ukraine a different status. The Ukraine became a UN member on 24 October 1945 under the title "Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic" (1945–1991) Russia has as much chance of getting the Ukraine back as Britain getting it,s 13 colonies back.
