@isaac.anthony you mean like in 20210, when they controlled both Houses and Obama refused to pass Medicare, free journalists, stop the drones, etc etc etc?
And when Pelosi (who MUST be defeated; www.shahidforchange.us) refused to prosecute Trump on issues that could actually get him impeached, because the Democrats are guilty of doing the same thing?
This is why 100 million voters did not vote, and likely even more won't this time around. As Tim Black says,. "Both parties suck, Johnson!"
And the Democrats continue to offer nothing. In fact, they go out of their way to say they will continue to fuck (or rather, "f*ck") you over. There is no reason to vote for them at this point. None.

@1robotchamp the top dozen or so in no order are Jimmy Dore, Secular Talk, Graham Elwood, Convo Couch, Humanist Report, Rational National, Tim Black, Niko House, Ron Placone, Richard Medhurst, Kim Iverson and the great Lee Camp. I have heard great things about Abby Martin and Matt Taibbi as well. You're welcome.

@petyrbaelish1216 no dear, only corporate Dems "like" Biden. And indepdents don't need a SINGLE corporate Democratic vote.
Why?
A recent poll confirmed this.
THe country is 24% Republican. 26% Democrat...and 50% INDEPENDENT. The fact is, Democrats CANNOT win without independents.
So people like YOU need to get over it. Biden barely won, with support a mile wide and an inch deep, and people voted for him because they felt they had no choice . (Bernie was cheated, admit it. And the opponent is Trump.)
Nina was, I will admit, too KIND in her assessment of Biden. (I notice you forgot the rest of her statement, which is VERY telling about you. WE did NOT forget it.)
We DO NOPT like this one.
How about you fucking corporate Dems stop GFOING TO COIURT to deny third parties ballot access?
Oh, did you forget about that TOO?
Democrats can't stand the idea of democracy. Because in a democracy, they would lose.
WE demand fair elections. Stop Democrat cheating.
Do YOU have the courage and integrity to do the same?
We'll wait.

@dontaylor7315 David used to be good (not great) but has veered to the centre and never attacks the DNC or Biden, and has been roundly criticized on the left.
He is actually on my FOURTH tier of podcasters, so I can take him or leave him. Criticizing Jimmy Dore was NOT a good look for him, especially when his critiques are baseless.
However, compared to fellow Ontarian and Blue MAGA /Never Trump blatherer Christo Avalis, Doel is Walter Cronkite.
(And I call him a "neighbour", but he is currently 50-60 km away from me, so I am not sure that moniker still holds. We have yet to meet in person, assuming he doesn't go to comedy clubs where he might see me perform. And I have three fewer children than he, so we don't really have that much in common.)
I'm not sure we HAVE an equivalent to a Jimmy Dore or a Lee Camp up here. Aaron mate does fantastic work but I don't think of him as a podcaster, more of a reporter. But what I DO relish in doin g is watching people like David speak about American politics, as I do, disproving the "you don't live here so you know nothing" mindset as the closed-minded jingoistic ostrich far too many on the false left claim to be.

@dontaylor7315 to you. (Weird: youtube disables comments on the superior browser Brave but seems to allow them on Chrome, which I am trying to get rid of. I guess this is what happens when you are committed to promoting an inferior brand.)
The Liberals a GENERATION ago (pre-Paul martin) would be considered centrist or centre left, and in a few ways they still are. But buying a pipeline rather than cancelling it, promoting and then rejecting ranked choice voting and a shot of other actions, puts them AT BEST in the centre, with rightleaning tendencies.
To be honest, a lot of the time even I think I know very little about Canadian politics.
A quick check of scandals (I don't include the blackface nonsense) reminds of the We Charity where Trudeau himself did not personally benefit, the SNC Lavalin affair, holidaying with the Aga Khan, and no mention of the pipeline or RCV "|misjudgements". The problem I I can only find rightwing sites publishing this. I'm not sure we have a lefty equivalent (the Tyee maybe? Rabble?) to remind us. I have to admit, it is a lot easier to find dirt on Joe Fracking Biden because there are still lefty media outlets in the US (none, of course, on cable television) which are doing great work.

@reforest4fertility what evidence do you have to assume I am an American? (The answer, of course, is none, but that's beside the point.)
And as to holding a professional liar and con man (what? You thought Trump was unique?) to his promises after standing literally on the wrong side of every issue for 40- years is a Herculean task. I thought the #FraudSquad might be up for it, but they caved as badly as Bernie did.
For that matter, the great Lee Camp did several shows of lists showing what Biden could have accomplished during his first 100 days (and his first day!) That would benefit the American public, and he has accomplished exactly zero of those things.
The Democrats ONLY fight when it is against the people or progressives, and you need look no further than the Ohio senatorial race where they are doing everything they can to smear Nina Turner, the same way they did Bernie, Jamaal (who still won), Charles Booker, Paula Jean Swearingen and dozens of other good people. The solutions are not to be found in the Democratic party unless it changes rapidly and substantively and I have seen no evidence of a willingness to do that.

@thebreakerofwalls9036 I would argue also divorced from reality.
But what Trump showed was not faces of Republicans; it was faces of political mainstream parties. I estimate 95% of Democrats act the same way, which is why you still don't have M4A, $15 minimum wage or any number of programs that will help Americans. It's because the owners of the Democrats, who are basically the same as those of the GOP, don't want you to have it.
Period.
Of course, many Democrats like Pelosi, Shumer, Manchin, Sinema, Hoyer, Feinstein, etc etc ARE in fact Republicans running as Democrats. Most lefty media knows this.

ALL this means is that Republicans like 46, #Kamalahorrid, CIA Peter, Schumer, Pelosi, Hoyer, Manchin, Sinema and jefferies can ocntonue to be as horrible, as rightwing, as corporate-friendly, as warmongering as they have been as theuy convince themselves that voters have nowhere to go.
It is far far past time for people to STOP SUPPORTING DEMOCRATS but neither Doel nor any considered left (who are not) are goin g to suggest that. He should. But he won't.

@jeremiahpattillo2932 said "Biden was smart enough, experienced enough, and open minded enough to embrace Bernie Sanders and the Progressive movement. " When you lead with such an obvious falsehood, you are killing the chances the left will read you, never mind take you seriously.
He is not that bright, although he's not Trump or Dubya.
He IS experienced, in all the wrong things, like corruption, and voting the wrong way on pretty much every issue for 40+ years.
And he has actually told us ON VIDOE how is not at all open minded, from telling millenials to "give me a break/I have no empathy" to auto workers to vote for Trump, to Charlemagne "if you can't see the difference between me and Trump (there is far less than he claims) you ain't black" and telling he would VETO Medicare for all if it came across his desk.
My God, man, put down the crack pipe.

@alanpaulsen6174 Because Breaking points is not in my top Three. It is, however, in my top ten. I adore Krystal and have so much respect for Saagar. And on that level just below the Big Three I would also add Convo Couch
Richard Medhurst
Status Coup
Hard Lens Media
for good measure.
I am gratified and pleased that you watch the best lefty media and appreciate actual journalism and would highly recommend any one of those shows as well. HLM, when they do not focus on Chicago or Illinois politics, is becoming a must-see program to me, and Jordan actually goes out in the field and does actual reporting, while the multimillionaire "ladies" of the View sit on their fluffy pillows and preach from their privileged perches (alliteration not intended).
Sadly,. Alan, I am encountering far too many Blue MAGAs (Christo Avalis' channel being the worst) who have not one scintilla of an idea how to think critically, analytically or logically, and spew DNC/establishment talking points, even defending Biden's continuing mental decline (Jimmy has the courage to call it dementia). YOur views are a breathtaking change of pace that made my day. Than you.

@TuanLe-oc5lz "slippery answer"????
Well, I'm right, but as I've said to this blank wall of non thinkers, the election was rigged wayyyyy before November. The November election was, for the most part, fair. It was, of course, too late for non Democrats to be represented or have a reasonable choice at American society moving forward.
And the fact that the Democrats rigged it first does not in any way excuse Republican misinformation or lies. However, if you're not willing to admit both parties so so, so so frequently, and that one side does it MORE to the left, I fear you're not adequately informed

@ramonroman6719 the $2000 cheques were given, the way Biden promised? Do tell. Because the fact that BIDEN promised, over and over again, to deliver$2000, and then utterly failed to do so, is an unabashed gift to the GOP and, of course, third parties. Where I come from, $1400 is LESS than $2000, but perhaps you used the new math to figure THAT out.
Principles and justice? Do the names Julian Assange, Edward Snowden, Chelsea Manning, Steven donzinger and Daniel Hale mean anything to do?
Eric Garner? Tamir rice? Sandra bland?
Justice has NEVER been found for these totally innocent victims, and thousands of others, thanks to Joe franking BIDEN and his crime bill, incarceration of millions of black and brown people, as well as Doucette of other actions he has the power to overturn...
But didn't. And won't. Because he DOESN'T believe in justice except for the rich white folks who are his owners.
I could give dozens of other examples but the depth of your ignorance tells me you either don't know, or don't CARE, what had happened to these people. Or the countless others we fight for

@7heSlime very well.
Recall the original post:
"After Trump, I'm no longer surprised how dumb and ignorant politicians are."
My reply read:
"Americans, yes."
because that is what the OP started with. I then added:
"I thought we were better."
We, meaning Canadians, were better than the Americans. I did not feel clarification was necessary, but here we are.
I went on to say:
"And the NDP applauded this guy? The Greens? UGHHHHHH"
Assuming you know as little about Canada as your posts imply, the NDP and Greens are two allegedly lefty parties, who were, presumably, in the House of Commons at the same time as the ruling Liberals, applauding this same Nazi, and I expressed disgust at both.
I hope I have sufficiently clarified my post and position, and apologize for any confusion I caused earlier with my vagueness.

No Joe, you have NOT raised the minimum wage to $15.
No Joe, you have NOT ended the war in Afghanistan.
No Joe, you have NOT cancelled student debt.
No Joe, you have NOT pushed for a public option, let alone Medicare for all.
No Joe, you have NOT used the power of your office to push progressive policies.
No Joe, you have NOT gotten rid of the filibuster.
No Joe, you have NOT ignored what the unelected Parliamentarian said.
No Joe, you have NOT been presidential, or even adequate.
You may fool David but you haven't fooled us.
#BernieWouldHaveWon
(And Jamaal? You didn't force the vote either. You blew your chance, along with Cori Bush and the #fraudsquad. Maybe there is still hope for you but you dug yourself a hole. By yourself.)
