  1. Funny, y'day I met a kid whose veteran dad was badly injured while serving in the army. He was diabled & wheelchair bound for almost 10 years - completely unable to walk. Then, one day, he decided he wanted to walk again. Which should've been physically impossible after a decade. Because the body atrophies; muscle wastes away. But he did it. Took a year of hard PT, but he's up walking now, everywhere, without any equipment or assistance. Astounding, really.

  2. Resiliency is what saves you. If you can't get back up after a knock-down, you'll never experience any happiness or appreciation for how good you have it. The most important thing I've learned is that no matter how messed up you or life is - you're still better off than many, many other people in the world. So, stop crying & get moving again - difficulties will pass if you let them.
