  1. Exactly. And same here. In the early 2,000s I was making about $38K per year gross & was approved for a $240,000 mortgage. 😳?! I told the lender no way am I taking on that kind of debt - I can't afford it. She said yes I could & tried to convince me through all kinds of creative mortgage finance schemes. Esp the tempting interest-only loans. Luckily common sense ruled & I bought a little 2 bedroom starter home instead, through a basic fixed rate 30 year mortgage. A few years later when the economy collapsed, I was fortunate to be able to ride it out fairly well. But nearly all of my friends had to sell their homes because they had fallen for the same mortgage BS I had been fed. It was awful - they either lost their homes or lost thousands of dollars in savings in order to keep their homes. All because they owed their mortgage lenders more than the homes were now worth & panic had set in. More so when the five years of cheaper interest-only loan payments ended & the principal payments kicked in. (eg $750 month became $2,400 month or $1,500 month became $4,200 month. And God help you if you were among the many who lost their jobs about this time.)

  2. Here we go, again - this Biden bunch is determined to repeat history & speed-up destroying our economy. This is a deliberate attempt to wreck American's lives. We can't get ahead - every time we do, Democrats & Congress obliterate us.
