  2. Death experience may be different for everyone. But there is an in-between state of living & death that is both hypnotically dark & oddly beautiful at the same time. Been there & so have many others. And suspect Purgatory is a religious way to explain it, because it is so difficult to put into relative words. I always reference the film "Jacob's Ladder" trying to describe it because it's such a close portrayal of what I experienced. Why some people come back likely depends on the level of medical care they receive but spiritual people will say it's more than that. Personally, it was a little of both.
