  1. "... lack of parental participation... nuts." Yes the system is outrageous. And has been for well over a decade. For years teachers & school superintendents begged parents to be more involved in their kid's education. Unfortunately too many parents ignored this plea for various reasons. Now the education system has taken over your kid's lives, minds & removed parental rights. It's infuriating as Hell but it's what happens when parents abandon their kids to a govt political babysitting system. This situation is a wake-up call to protect your kids the way you're supposed to. We need more & affordable private schools now. If ever there was a "market opportunity", this is it. Because not all families can afford a parent staying home to school their kids. Or have the skills & patience to do it right. Albeit anything is better than our current socialist public school system. (And "labels" again - the govt labels someone a te*oris & they believe they can hurt them any way they like. Which is a form of te**ori*m in itself. How about parents start calling school systems kidnappers? Because they pretty much are - pay them 60% in school taxes & maybe you'll get your offspring back in one piece. Uh - no you won't.)
