  1. Having access to a wide variety of info & ideas to make up your own mind is something that makes America great. But if we're too stupid to take advantage of it then the freedom will quietly slip away. Either through political/social malevolence or lack of use. Printed newspapers & magazines are already badly slipping due to high consumer costs, ($9.00 a copy, many cases) too much ad content & constant reminders to recycle these "disposable" items. Book sales are fair, but mainly because there are still people alive who value the satisfaction & beauty of a neatly packaged paper read. Upcoming generations will mostly read tech screens.
