  2. Agree but most people have to be willing to move out of their neat & tidy suburban HOA run communities to do it. Where I live you have to get permission to plant just a small vegetable garden. It sucks. At least until I'm able to move to some private property. (Right now almost everything is planted in big container pots. Not terrible, the benefits are less bugs & rabbits getting to the stuff. )

  3.  @chuckhoyle1211  Yes, my next (& hopefully last) home will be in the mountains, 1-2+ acres with a big sunny area for a garden. And surrounded by woods for peace & privacy. Caring for some laying hens & a goat or two would be nice too. I'm a hermit by nature & very happy to be alone :)

  4. The real challenge is convincing people to replace Ding Dongs with nettles. Or just basic greens. Good luck. Addiction to mfr junk food is pretty bad. (But if you do like gardening, play around with growing new plants from vegetable ends & scraps. It's fun & productive. So far I've re-grown onions, cabbage, tomatoes & yams from stuff I usually compost. The yield isn't tremendous but still worth the 30 seconds it takes to bury it in a pot or garden bed. There are many great YT videos on the subject.)
