But collectivism is shit.. How can you even defend the idea that society should be more important than the individual. Society as a whole does not think or feel and individuals do.

" Because everyone has the right to be happy, and the role of the state is to grant happiness to its citizens, to all its citizens." These are baseless assumptions which I obviously disagree with. Why are you even looking at this as if there are objective moral rules we have to commit to. If collectivism leads to a less desirable life for me then I don't support collectivism, and it's up to you to prove I Ought to do otherwise.

@thomasmuntzerreal Again, why do you think that is homogenous? One person's access to technology or knowledge or prosperity does not mean someone else also has access to it. I would like for you to answer the more important question though. Why would I also assume your moral ideas if those moral ideas are not in my best interest?

How is that in contradiction with 'pure individualism'? My quality of life with the specialization and advanced technologies that entails is a result of individuals fulfilling their own desires
