@SMITHSONIAN33 and a different genotype. Europeans have Neanderthal ancestry; sub-Saharan peoples have no or little Neanderthal ancestry, the latter getting their 1%-ish via Europeans and Asians who dipped into the gene pool. Technically, we’re all homo sapiens sp.
