  1. New Parks Street is located in an ethnically diverse area of Leicester which is blessed with the highest crime rate. The Tesco store is a good one, though, much frequented by DMU students. Leicester people are referred to as woollybacks, a reference to the town/city’s place in the historic wool trade, although it might also serve as a cynical reminder that the majority baa for Labour.
