  1. Love ‘Hook’: Peter grew up and had to find his inner child again in order to find himself (the child is the father of the man, as Wordsworth put it). I even liked the new Lost Boys and how real death taught them about the reality behind their eternal fantasy, flagging one of the more subtle themes of the original story which was keenly felt come WWI.

  3. I’m loving on the not totally stereotypical diverse characters and all the grrl power. Wham, bam, straight left to all those bigots who support unapproved modern ways of thinking! Incidentally, when J.M. Barrie’s mother died, his 8 year-old sister stepped up to run the household. Can’t think how that - or the fact that his brother died aged 14 as the result of a skating accident - affected the story he wrote in any way.
