Tinker Bell represents the world of the child (children can be duplicitous and downright cruel, you know) and the tension between her and Wendy is, therefore, more critical (lols) than you, oh erudite Drinker, state here. Btw, when Peter returns to find Wendy a year after the main storyline, he has no idea who Tinker Bell is and it’s implied that she’s dead. Yes, it could be that playing that game is over, but it might well signify that he’s started on his journey to manhood and one of his boyhood memories has gone.
