  3. Standardised spelling wasn’t a big forte in the Middle Ages and so our hero Hood (or Wood) may have the forename Robert, Robin or Robyn. Which begs the question, why didn’t Director X - brother of Doctor, cousin of Malcolm, and possibly a reject from a certain Canadian superhero Project - go that last step and make her a trans woman? Then he could accuse us nerds of being transphobic, too, and get extra Brownie points.
