  1. I’ve been told that the mummy of Cleopatra VII has been examined and it’s proven that she had black skin. Firstly, we don’t have Cleopatra’s mummy. Secondly, unwrapped mummies may have black skin owing to the mummification process; ‘mummy’ is derived from the Persian/Egyptian word ‘mummiya’ meaning ‘tar’ or ‘bitumen’ (which is why cheap mummies were used as fuel in Egypt before those weird Europeans arrived and asked after souvenirs). Wonder if the Afrocentrics will give us a documentary on Empress Wu next?
