  1. During 1980, while at University, I saw an emergency doctor, because I had stomach pains and vomiting which had lasted two days. Must have been due to severe anxiety, because I’m a woman, right? Promptly given a prescription for Valium and sent on my way. Another day, another emergency doctor and it turns out that I had a nasty case of food poisoning… I avoided that bullet but a lot of other students were taking these drugs regularly.
