  1. He’s a constitutional monarch and has no power to affect the politicians. He cannot dissolve parliament unless the PM petitions the Privy Council and that august body advises him to do so.

  2. Two Conservative councils near my home area have been told they must hold elections. I’ll bet it’s Labour councils which get the pass this year.
