If they want poverty and suicides, Modi must simply comply. It is useless to debate with brainwashed people. It is better to roll back these reforms. However, the demand for statutory MSP is dangerous. Congress backing it is disdainful. They were in power for 10 years before Modi and many years before as well. They know damn well that a "statutory" MSP is India's death warrant. Chidambaram himself was the finance minister on several occasions. India will slide into Venezuela. Floor prices are set to ensure production when there is NONE. As it is we have surpluses, a mandatory MSP would push it even higher and there wouldn't be any sale. GOI can't buy all the food grains because it would cost 60% of the Union budget. Private players won't buy at higher prices. It will all lead to DISTRESS SALE and the situation is going to be WORSE. ROLLBACK THE REFORMS. ( I know they have already suspended the reforms and right now stupidity is going on in Delhi. The anti-Modi brigade has taken over. No sympathies for Modi because he failed to control it)

All misinformation and propaganda have taken over. Disagreement is a part of democracy and discussion is always healthy but right now there is a war between anti-Modi who seem to be making a last stand after a failed Shaheen Bagh and a stubborn BJP who instead of respecting and engaging the core constituents of the protest is disrespecting them. You will not find a common ground this way. I support these reforms but perhaps people's wish is poverty. In a democracy, one must respect people's wishes. BJP should immediately roll back the reforms or leave the decision to the State Govts. As to the International celebs, REMEMBER THEY ARE ALL BIG PROPONENTS OF FREE MARKETS. THEY KNOW PRECIOUS LITTLE AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT INDIANS.
