I'd rather have Modi settle the current farmer dispute rather than digging another hole with another reform. Your "good friend" Yogendra Yadav will organize another siege of Delhi (posing as God knows what -> Is there any identity still left he has not taken up yet?). At this point, I don't mind abandoning the farm reforms provided all subsidies and MSP procurement (funded using taxpayer money) are reserved only for the poorest 20% of farmers with less than 5 acres of land and Rs 10 lakh income (irrespective of their religion/caste).

India needs a Reagan to change its fortunes. We suffer from a "crab mentality". We are a poor nation because most of our wealth is spent on maintaining the facade of "Socialism". In essence, we need a "Suit boot ki Sarkar" that could be Corporate friendly and focuses on ROIs rather than Vote bank. The fear of crony capitalism is highly irrational. There are only 7 Indian companies in the Fortune Global 500 list (China has 124). India's largest company RIL comes at 96th on the list. Indians need to think.

@sauravdagaSDaga1984 Bro, you are wrong. Times have changed. Most are educated middle in search of a good job. Socialism and Communism have no mainstream backers apart from a few leftist journos and "prestigious" college alumni. However, I would concede that while they may not have the numbers, they have the loudest voices and the means to set the narrative. It is an irony that while the general populace desires to be rich but harbors a deep sense of prejudice against all the rich.

@sauravdagaSDaga1984 Education and promoting free thinking is the only solution. Sadly, to India's misfortune under Congress, you get a Govt that inserts its nose in all economic affairs (Outdated socialism that equates to mass corruption) and under BJP you get a Govt that inserts its nose in all personal affairs. Nobody can compete with the hypocrisy of Indians.
