  1. Shekhar, get yourself tested for DEMENTIA. Chandrababu Naidu tried the "Opposition Unity" experiment in 2019. Naidu himself lost. In India, we have only 2 national parties of substance and the rest are regional satraps. If a mere assortment of parties is to be deemed Opposition Unity then we have already seen it in 2019 when a "Mahgathbandhan" was fighting Modi.

  2. Wonder what would be the synergies of an Opposition Unity? Normally, 1+1 = 2, but the idea of synergy is to make it 1+1 = 11. Now, do we think aligning with INC/BRS/DMK would help Mamata gain any more seats in Bengal than it would have without these new"friends". Will any of these regional leaders help tilt the tides in 272 seats which are essentially INC vs. BJP? Finally, what would be the value proposition? Forcing election into a BINARY would make Naveen Patnaik and Jagan/Babu the KINGMAKERS of 2024.
