  1. The global south is just a phrase. There is no treaty-bound alliance in the making. There is no harm in engaging with the non-China 3rd world, esp at a time when Pak is pushed to the margins. At the very least, it could become a pressure group within the UN furthering common interests or pushing back against disadvantageous climate change or other accords. India does not trade with many of these nations despite opportunities. Establishing a hotline could help.

  2. Kangaroo court media trials done by journos, alleged "fact checkers", and activists also fuel POLARIZATION. Social media has been weaponized like nuclear energy. A non-Hindu-Muslim child education issue getting internationalized without proper investigation is an example of journos creating societal discord. The same level of sensitivity NOT being showered on a Hindu pupil who is beaten up for writing "Jai Shree Ram" by his M teacher is an example of degrading journalistic ethics.
