  1. Sg is assuming too many things here. It is all about the "pagdi" in Western UP and Haryana and very little to do with the actual laws. BJP cares only about its votes. It considers the middle-class as caste-neutral Hindus. They have managed to sell these reforms to them (although they have nothing to do with these reforms). The rest for BJP is all "jugaad". I am sure there is a strategy at play. It may not be about who blinks the eye first but the wait for the one "perfect" hand when you can beat the house.

  2. The world has two kinds of people 1) The ones who work towards progress 2) The one who prevents others from progressing. All of the world's second type of people reside in India. Congress has a majority of them.
