  1. Our people are the ones living within our borders. Sri Lanka was dubbed India's Vietnam. Myanmar is a key stakeholder in North East peace. We should not re-open the war front that has been put to rest with so many efforts.

  2. Get your facts right. Aerial bombing was within Burmese territory. Army has clarified it. Both armies enjoy cordial ties and have collaborated and shared information on separatist networks.

  3. ​ @learnwithlian6620  Get your facts right. Indian Govt was indecisive throughout the Sri Lankan Civil war. It was the most hopeless foreign policy ever conceived by India. One reason was Indira Gandhi's untimely death. She had even threatened R. Premdasa with direct intervention and tried to keep all sides engaged in negotiations, but her untimely death led to Rajiv Gandhi's ascension, who plunged us into God-only-knows-what-role. SL became India's Vietnam. We were hated by both Lankans and Tamils. We lost soldiers for no reason. It's a miracle that TN didn't become another separatist hotbed despite the noises of separate Tamil Eelam emanating from many mainstream politicians of TN. Drawing lessons from this history, we must stay away from other people's conflicts. Chins from Myanmar are NOT our kith or kin.

  4.  @learnwithlian6620  Nope. The are not. The same is true for Sri Lankan Hindu Tamils, Bangla Hindus, Burmese Nagas or anyone else. Internal matters of the other country. Also, only Mizos must welcomed as refugees not Rohingyas.

  5.  @kaidi_p  I'll-informed and Half-baked arguments. Firstly, I have not mentioned CAA anywhere in my above two replies. In fact, my second reply clears the air on Hindus from these places. They had their chance in 1947. They messed up. We don't owe them anything. Finally, CAA is about giving citizenship. It hasn't gone anything to do with India meddling in other countries affairs. If Myanmar Mizos are to be incorporated and rehabilitated within India, it would be welcome. However, intervening on their behalf or supporting their militias is a strict NO NO. We did the same for Tibetians. Hindus or Christians or Sikhs do not pose security threats. No harm in extending citizenship to this group
