  1. THOUGHT-PROVOKING even if not entirely convincing. Intelligence has always served as "the" critical input to decision making. Events like 9/11, 26/11, Kargil, or even the latest Russia-Ukraine war could be attributed to "failure of imagination" and NOT to BAD INTELLIGENCE. Perhaps, India does NOT have the necessary depth and penetration of its Intelligence services but it's a flaw arising from constraints (primarily cost). Hence, reliance on "eaves-dropping" gadgets.
