  1. I don't understand why LAW MAKING in India is such a haphazard process. For the past 75 years, we are going in circles. Everything from parliamentary privilege to Bilkis Bano type cases to defamation cases to EC rulings is left to the whims and fancies of the authorities. It leaves space for allegations and counter-allegation and DIMINISHES trust and confidence in the system. Punishments should be CODIFIED and mitigating circumstances should be clearly outlined when authorities pronounce judgment.

  2. Another peculiar thing about Jharkhand (and Uttarakhand) is that the sitting CMs have a history of losing elections. Also, it has an independent who became CM.

  3.  @patmclaughlin107  Does it matter? Even if it's not spick and span, BJP's house is not on FIRE. Even today, Modi topped the popularity charts globally and remains the favorite to win 2024. His closest competitors are his BJP colleagues and not the OPPOSITION.
