If we can just control cases in Delhi, we will have spare resources to focus on elsewhere. Lockdown really helped Maharashtra. Delhi is still unable to handle its large caseload and oxygen logistics.

Over 90% of Covid patients do not require hospitalization. Of the 10%, very few develop severe illness. While the % point towards a good picture it is the absolute numbers that are worrisome. DENIAL IS STUPIDITY. The moment we test less and isolate fewer people, we let these "carriers" infect more and more people. A 10% on 10,000 is just about 1000 but a 10% of 1 lakh is 10,000. That is where the problem lies. TEST MORE, ISOLATE MORE, SAVE LIVES. It's not about HOW MANY PEOPLE DIE, IT IS ABOUT LIVES SAVED.

@tony-pc4kd No man. Maharashtra things have improved big time post lockdown. Karnataka also the system is still hanging in (barely). TN I do not know. Delhi the situation is genuinely bad. I do not know if pollution has anything to do with people in Delhi requiring oxygen but Delhi has more serious cases.

@cathiedavidson6844 Indian Army and Airforce are already active on the ground. Not sure if the UN can help either because it is the problem of unavailability of tankers and bureaucracy. In India, the ruling party in Delhi and Center are different (with no love lost for each other). Both are trying to deflect blame and shed responsibilities by passing the buck on each other (although both share the blame). Also, there is a lot of black marketing of cylinders. A cylinder is selling for almost double (and in some places even thrice and more) that of its mandated price. This poor excuse for a human lobby does not want the Oxygen woes to ease. Some folks in this region are no less than vultures. I can attach a ground report. In other parts of India, depending on who you ask you will get very different answers but according to me wherever there is a lockdown in place, in those places the situation has improved considerably except Delhi. https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/delhi-oxygen-crisis-second-wave-covid-supply-hospitals-cylinder-1796278-2021-04-29

Sanjay Raj Fear is natural. Panic is because you have social media SOSs. I also think things will normalize.

Sanjay Raj Yes. However, there should be constant pressure put on the Govt only then will they act.
