A key technique for conflict resolution is thinking from other stakeholders' point-of-view. Bihar is a mess (courtesy of all parties starting from 1947). HP, UP, and Haryana have done well in recent years but still, need to do better to deliver on the aspirations of their youth. The problem lies at the intersection of lack of job opportunities, poor education quality, and the craze for government jobs

So are you betting on them to fail? India is actually a late entrant to such a program other countries already have an Agneethpath in place and I do not hear them turning into "Afghanistan" because of the early retired soldiers. The same thing happened with farm laws. The WORST-CASE scenario received the MAXIMUM THUMPING and laws that could have fundamentally altered India's agriculture for the better got sunk under chaos.

It comes from the fact we don't have much money, to begin with. Then again it's a process. Rome was not built in one day. A country makes mistakes, learns, adapts, and evolves. It's important to stay on the path and continue pushing reforms.

@PK-tt5kk South Korea was a brutal yet efficient dictatorship under Park Chung Hee, Singapore had the benefit of sitting on a key trade route. Taiwan was a dictatorship. There was also the US patronage which helped Tiger economies to scale up. Nevertheless, Yes, they did well and their population deserves to be appreciated for checking the right boxes. Ours was a directionless SOCIALIST UTOPIA (or DYSTOPIA). The BEUREUCRATIC CONTROL madness deprived us of early-stage entrepreneurship. The rut runs deep. Even reforms like farm laws which were designed to end this "control" madness are opposed on the grounds that some people might get rich. We fear things and tend to be risk-averse. Hence, we are slow in the race to development.
