Even thePrint has an article that says that the majority of Indians have natural immunity and how vaccinating all can cause harm. There was a lot of misinformation from the very beginning - BCG causing residual immunity in Indians, Hydorchoroquine the wonder drug, Non-airborne, Non-communicable (came from WHO), Remedisvir etc. We screwed up big time. We escaped the first wave and became overconfident. There is no denying there. It is all about how we fix things now.

LOCKDOWN, LOCKDOWN, LOCKDOWN. We all know the answer to get out of the current mess. We never needed Dr Fauci to tell us that. It's a mutant strain that is causing the mayhem. The countries that survived the first wave had multiple lockdowns in place. Maha has seen great improvements post-lockdown. There is always the time to self-pity or hold leaders accountable but now is the time to save ourselves and our dear ones. LOCKDOWN IS A MUST. That 400,000 figure of daily cases is simply not sustainable. Our healthcare system will collapse completely. It ought to come below 100,000.

@neilcarvalho8349 Deaths started now. Delhi is also accused of data manipulation and Maharashtra's handling of the pandemic is the worst among all states.

Modi Govt deserves all the flak it is receiving. After all, it would have been hailed as heroes had the unfortunate second wave not devastated us. We are today an international damsel in distress. No proud nationalist India can fathom that. The majority of whom are BJP's core voters. However, it's not about how you start but how you finish. BJP needs to take the essential steps.

India needs a CEO style educated leader like Ratan Tata for its development. This is the first time Modi Govt has failed in optics. I do not know the electoral impact as it is mostly the lefto-liberals who are speaking out the most and given the fact that Modi has a history of making comebacks. Modi should have made the statement that the centre will compensate states for the vaccine prices. That itself would have gone a long way in controlling the damage.
