It's not just farmers who need to open up to markets. Enough of Physics/Chemistry at school now, it's high we start imparting financial literacy and free market economics from early childhood so that the newer generation becomes appreciative of free markets and capitalism.

The survey is an eye opener and nicely simplified by Sg. India is a robust democracy and a rising GDP. Those calling us North Korea are intellectually hollow no matter how popular they are within their echo chambers. Leave politics to politicians. Real analysts interpret and assess data.

@wandhatt Firstly, don't need your advice about "going to China". If you are so fed up, then you move to wherever you want. I am fine living in my country. As to UPPSC, is it the first time somebody has been Lathi-charged in the country? Everywhere from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, state govt jobs have similar problems and similar responses from governments (irrespective of party in power). Everyone wants to bribe ministers and take these jobs. Hence, the mayhem. The SP/BSP governments were far worse in law and order. At least, the Yogi Govt course corrects. You are free to disagree, and all the best for your CSE exams, and if you do become a Civil servant don't promote and indulge in evils like dowry and corruption. There is a saying, "Be the change you want to see in the world".

@chinmayshetye3 I don't understand why it's always "this" OR "that" with people. My statement never said stop teaching chemistry and physics. It only meant expanding the horizons of our younger generations. Finance and accounting is a lot more scientific than you think. It is also practically very relevant. 2 hours a day rule is good enough every subject not just finance but people seldom find those two hours.

@chinmayshetye3 My apologies if it seemed like that. In my mind, it was "enough" as in enough of the attitude of just focusing on physics/chemistry and also start accommodating Finance subjects. I'm myself an engineer. I learnt finance in MBA.

@BharatThatIsIndia So you are a seer now? Continue residing in your echo chamber.

@BharatThatIsIndia Another gyaan peddling lecture from somebody who was calling the banking turnaround a "hear pheri". Modi's personal life is not for us to judge. Ambitions or commitment to cause, either way, these were his choices. Also, spare me that my father had only x amount in the bank story. It's India; everyone except the 1% have the same story. Unlike Rahul Gandhi, most of us were not born into luxury. As to community vs community, keep your "secular" community for yourself. I know that the community is in need of reforms for their own good and "seculars" are denying them those structural reforms, which even Saudi is embracing now.

@BharatThatIsIndia The "Hera pheri" question was answered and junked in the show itself. Thanks for proving the "echo chamber" point. There is no point in discussing banking with someone who clearly doesn't know the first thing about Banking. Modi has risen up the ranks without any or Godfather privilege. It's a democracy, everyone is free to agree, disagree or both. However, the PM is elected by the people's mandate. End of thread.

@BharatThatIsIndia Dude you are a serial fake news peddler. Remember your "accounts ki hera pheri" comment on India's banking turnaround? You think you are some great person but news flash you are not. Also, who are you to compare and question Modi's personal life? That shows contempt and hatred that you hold for him. People are free to make their life choices. Leaving family for a cause or ambition is a personal decision. Also spare me the my father and his bank account story. It's India every second person has one one of those. Most of us are not born into luxuries like Rahul Gandhi. You are the epitome of echo chamber with all your socialist/communist thinking. I am very well aware of the rights and wrongs of this Govt. Also, the one community that you seem to have special preference for has many problems not just here but globally. So spare me the community vs community bullshit. I have my eyes open unlike you.

@BharatThatIsIndia Thanks for proving the "echo chamber" point. The answer to "Hera Pheri" was answered in the show itself by proper experts. Even they junked the query as "wild fantasy," but the echo chamber resident did not even bother registering it on his mind. The funny thing about "Bakwas" is that it always comes from the "empty vessels make more noise" category of people. Clearly, someone does not know how the banking system operates. No point in discussion with such folks. Businesses fail, loans go bad. There is a whole subject called credit risk and risk-weighted assets that banking needs to deal with. Finally, as to Modi - the man became the PM of the country despite having no "surname" advantage. He is his own man and represents the rise of an ordinary Indian. It's a democracy; one is free to dislike his brand of politics. However, in a democracy, no one person's opinion is "special".
