  1. This is bizarre. Western countries are teaching "Chinese" in their schools because they believe the center of the world economy is shifting to Asia. I love English but there is a lobby in India that is just interested in creating chaos sometimes even out of thin air. Nobody is teaching physics, chemistry, mathematics, or engineering in Hindi. Horrible Journalism. Instead of focusing on suggestions for improving NEP, Agents of chaos are busy junking it.

  4.  @kavisiddu  My point exactly. THERE IS NO AGENDA TO REPLACE ENGLISH. IN FACT CANNOT REPLACE ENGLISH. IT IS NOT GERMANY WHERE PHYSICS AND OTHER SCIENCE TEXTBOOKS ARE AVAILABLE IN GERMAN. WE CANNOT GET RID OF ENGLISH. However, there is a political agenda among certain outlets that says everything this Govt does is bad.

Most spoken conversational language = HINDI, TELUGU, MARATHI, TAMIL, and BENGALI. SANSKRIT is often cited as one of the most suited languages for AI and Computer Science. LEFT is "RIGHT" when they say English is IMPORTANT. BUT WHY? BECAUSE we need staff who can work as a Butlers, Nurses, Teachers, Drivers in western world or work in call centers or KPOs serving the western world. Ever wonder why we are so much "Vedic" in manufacturing? Because Britishers never wanted us to develop those skills. They were producers of goods and India was a loyal customer of those goods. They designed an education system that never encouraged innovation but only instilled obedience. I Love English and I think it is a great language. We must not be nativists and hate everything WEST. Language is just a medium of communication. Considering the progress with Alexa, Siri, and Google voice, We are only a few years away from universal translators. For now, any language will do as long as the end result is a quality product. WE DO NOT NEED ENGLISH, ENGLISH NEEDS US.
