  1. An American friend once told me its impossible to negotiate a deal with the Chinese. They quote their price and that's it. Chinese leaders and the CCP are no exception to that rule. India's current strategy of mirroring Chinese moves is sound and will re-assert the balance of power. Covid-19 has exposed China and Xi Jinping's global ambitions. For now the Chinese do have an upper hand but Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and the US are increasingly wary of China. They are reducing their dependence and I appreciate Modis' Aatmanirbhar Bharat plan. If successful it will be Modi's legacy. We can't go to war with China and we cannot expect Pakistan to change.
