  1. It is BJP, not the BCCI. The excise cut on fuel indicates that they have taken cognizance of the issue. Nobody from the national executive meeting is going to come out and say to the media that so and so are our issues. They don't have a "Siddhu" in their team Mr. DK (at least, not officially).

  3. Politics is the same everywhere. There is nothing special about "western democracies". Maybe, once upon a time they cared about their nation and forwent short-term gains but now it's all toxic, it's all daggers. Just see the Republican vs Democrat rivalry. The two can't stand each other. Thus, in comparison, India is better. Indian Opposition's problem is not its "house" or a lack issues. It is a chronic credibility crisis. What more do you need to see to conclude that Rahul Gandhi does not work? It is folly to think opposition unity will defeat Modi in a fashion similar to Trump or Netanyahu's exit. Trump had a far fewer loyal voter base than Modi and the Israeli system is totally different. Only Congress can halt the BJP juggernaut but not while Rahul Gandhi is in-charge.
