1:57 It's Laxmikanth Parsekar. He is also not in the CM's race. It's a BJP vs Congress battle all the way. The rest are "side" actors. Congress has its local "Navjyot Singh Siddhu" in Girish Chodankar (Perhaps, Incorrect comparison considering at least Siddhu is famous but nobody knows Chodankar). BJP has too many Congress imports. General perception is that BJP holds the edge and will most likely form Govt (hook or crook)

@rajx7120 It ain't. In fact, every state should be like Goa. There is no MLA "Gundaraaj". There are criminals, corrupt, and crooks but they don't harass constituents. There is a hunger for power and given the limited size of the assembly (only 40), it is open season 24x7 (Basic Supply vs Demand).

@Sharat Sundar Yup. Nowadays, the only difference left is Rahul Gandhi.

@karankapoor2701 At one point they had some goodwill among the Christians and the youth of the state but now issues there is a general perception that it will only play a spoiler to "secular" votes. A major issue has erupted in connection with the Old Goa heritage land site and Christians likely going to vote en bloc against the BJP. That means Congress. Hence, both AAP and TMC are done and dusted.

@tatakae9102 I think both @Tanmai Gawas and @Ashish Sawant summed it beautifully. I know that Gupta couldn't fit everything about Goa in a 20 min video but I felt a bit disappointed because he left a key detail in Goa that the winning margins are never "huge". Except for Sudin Dhavlikar rest manage narrow victories. Also, the former CM's name was inaccurate (It's Laxmikanth Parsekar)

No mention of Babush Monserrate? The most infamous of the party-"hoppers". You also forgot the strong GSB caste lobby of Goa. While there may not be ideological commitment, the caste commitment runs deep. The current CM seems to have a few things working for him (RSS and caste) but you never know who might become the next CM.
